Adding Images to WeChat Menu Items

This article shows you how to place an image inside a menu auto response message.

When a main menu tab or submenu item is clicked, an image will be displayed to your WeChat followers.

You can place an image inside a main menu tab if it does not a submenu. If you have created a submenu, you can place an image inside a submenu item, but not the main menu.

1  Locating the menu page

1. On the Dashboard page, click WECHAT in the top-level menu. The WeChat Content page displays.
2. On the left side menu, click SETTINGS. The folder opens.
3. Inside the SETTINGS folder, click Menu. The Menu page.

2  Adding an image to a submenu item

1. Hover the mouse pointer on a submenu item. The background turns light green and the toolbar displays.
2. Click the Edit button. The Edit Menu Item panel opens.
3. Click the Message tab and then click the Image tab.
4. To insert an image from your computer, click Upload. You can also drag a picture from your computer to the image box.
5. To insert an image from the Assets page, click Select.
6. Click Done.

2.1  Dragging images

Instead of using the Upload tool, you can drag a picture from your computer to the Edit Menu Item panel.

1. Locate a picture on your computer.
2. Drag the picture to the image box in the image box.

3  Adding an image to a main menu tab

You can place an image inside a main menu tab if it does not have a submenu item. Adding an image to a main menu tab follows the process described above.

1. Hover the mouse pointer on a main menu tab. The background turns green and the toolbar displays.
2. Click the Edit button. The Edit Menu Item panel opens.
3. Click the Message tab and then click the Image tab.
4. To insert an image from your computer, click Upload or drag a picture from your computer to the image box.
5. To insert an image from the Assets page, click Select.
6. Click Done.
