This article shows you how to place an image inside a menu auto-response message. When a main menu tab or submenu item is clicked, an image will be displayed to your WeChat followers.
You can place an image inside a main menu tab if it does not have a submenu. If you have created a submenu, you can place an image inside a submenu item but not the main menu.

1 Opening the WeChat Menu page
Go to the top menu and select PUBLISH > WeChat Content > Settings > Menu.
2 Adding an image to a submenu item
Hover the mouse pointer on a submenu item. The background turns light green and the toolbar displays.
- Click the pencil icon. The Edit Menu Item panel opens.
- Click the Message tab and then click the Image tab.
- To insert an image from your computer, click Upload. You can also drag a picture from your computer to the image box.
- To insert an image from the Assets page, click Select.
- Click Done.
2.1 Dragging images
Instead of using the Upload tool, you can drag a picture from your computer to the Edit Menu Item panel.
- Locate a picture on your computer.
- Drag the picture to the image box in the image box.
3 Adding an image to a main menu tab
You can place an image inside a main menu tab if it does not have a submenu item. Adding an image to a main menu tab follows the process described above.
Hover the mouse pointer on a main menu tab. The background turns green and the toolbar displays.
- Click the pencil icon. The Edit Menu Item panel opens.
- Click the Message tab and then click the Image tab.
- To insert an image from your computer, click Upload or drag a picture from your computer to the image box.
- To insert an image from the Assets page, click Select.
- Click Done.
