This article shows you how to place a text message inside a menu auto response message.
When a menu tab or submenu item is clicked, a text message is displayed to your WeChat followers.
You can place a text message inside a main menu tab if it does not contain a submenu. If you have created a submenu, you can place a text message inside a submenu item, but not the main menu.

1 Locating the menu page
- On the Dashboard page, click WECHAT in the top-level menu. The WeChat Content page displays.
- On the left side menu, click SETTINGS. The folder opens.
- Inside the SETTINGS folder, click Menu. The Menu page displays.
2 Adding a text message to a submenu item
- Hover the mouse pointer on a submenu item. The background turns light green and the toolbar displays.
- Click the Edit button. The Edit Menu Item panel opens.
- Click the Message tab and then click the Text tab.
- Type your text message in the message box. The maximum message size is 600 characters.
- Click Done.

3 Adding a text message to a main menu tab
You can add a text message to a main menu tab if it does not have a submenu. Adding a text message to a main menu tab follows the process described above.
- Hover the mouse pointer on a main menu tab. The background turns green and the toolbar displays.
- Click the Edit button. The Edit Menu Item panel opens.
- Click the Message tab and then click the Text tab.
- Type your text message in the message box. The maximum message size is 600 characters.
- Click Done.
