Sinorbis automatically assigns operators to Live Chats. The assignments depend on the user's settings (i.e. the selected Target) and which pages the website visitor views.
For more information about visitor definitions, see Defining a Live Chat Visitor.
The target is All Website Pages
Sinorbis randomly assigns an operator from the pool of operators (Primary Operator + Other Operators) for each new chat session.
- Once a visitor has an Operator, that assignment does not change until the visitor’s session is invalidated.
The target is Selected Website Pages
If the user selects this target option, the operator assignment changes for every page with Live Chat enabled. Sinorbis automatically assigns the selected operator of a page to the visitor’s (new and returning) chat session.
- If a current visitor has a chat session with an operator on one page and then navigates to a page with Live Chat-disabled, the visitor can chat with the previously assigned operator.
- The chat icon does not display on Live Chat-disabled pages if a visitor does not have a valid chat session.
When a website visitor navigates to multiple Live Chat-enabled pages with different assigned operators, the operator assigned to the visitor changes.
- The image below shows how the Live Chat widget notifies the visitor of the assigned operator changes.
