Translating Text

This article shows you how to translate English words and phrases into Simplified Chinese using the Sinorbis built-in translator.

1  Locating the translator

Many Drag and Drop components have a translator. Look for the built-in translator icon. These components include:

• Navigation
• Image
• Logo
• Button
• Section

2  Using the translator

1. Delete existing text (if any) in the line.
2. Type an English word or phrase into the text field.
3. Click the translator icon. Simplified Chinese appears in the text field.
4. Click OK.

3  Creating bilingual text

Use the translator to produce bilingual text output for buttons, headings, and image captions. 

1. Type an English word or phrase into the text field.
2. Click the translate icon. Simplified Chinese appears in the text field.
3. Type the English text again beside the Simplified Chinese script.
4. Click OK.

4  Translating with Text & Heading Components

A second built-in translator is inside Text and Heading Components. It does the same translation work but is activated with the mouse.

1. Drag a Text or Heading Component into a workspace.
2. Type an English word or phrase into the component.
3. Highlight the text with the mouse pointer. A black menu bar displays.
4. Click the Chinese icon in the menu bar.
5. Simplified Chinese script replaces the English text.
