This article shows you how to view terms visitors search for using your website's search function.
1 Site Search
The Site Search report is located under Behaviour in the Reports section.
It provides information about searches completed by visitors on your website.
Reports > Behaviour > Site Search
2 Selecting a date range
Use the Date range at the top of the page to select the period you want to review.
The site search data updates based on the selected date range.
3 Search Keywords
Select Search Keywords to view terms visitors searched for on your website.
The table displays:
- Keyword – the search term entered by the visitor.
- Searches – the number of searches recorded for the keyword.
- Pages / Search – the average number of pages viewed after a search for the keyword.
- Exit Rate – the percentage of searches after which the visitor exited the website.
If no search activity was recorded during the selected period, No data available is displayed.
4 No Result Keywords
Select No Result Keywords to view search terms that did not return a result.
The table displays:
- Keyword – the search term entered by the visitor.
- Searches – the number of times the keyword was searched.
- Exit Rate – the percentage of searches after which the visitor exited the website.
If no searches without results were recorded during the selected period, No data available is displayed.
