Software

This article shows you how to view information about the software visitors use to access your website.

The Software report allows you to review data by Browser, Browser Version, Browser Engine, OS and OS Version.

1 Software

The Software report is located under Visitors in the Reports section.

Reports > Visitors > Software

2 Selecting a date range

Use the Date range at the top of the page to select the period you want to review.

The software data displayed on the page updates based on the selected date range.

3 Browser

Select Browser to view visitor activity grouped by browser.

The chart provides a visual breakdown of visits by browser.

The table displays:

• Name – the detected browser.
• Visits – the number of visits using that browser.
• % of Visits – the percentage of total visits represented by that browser.
• Actions – the number of tracked visitor actions recorded for that browser.
• Actions per Visit – the average number of tracked actions recorded per visit.
• Avg. Time on Website – the average amount of time spent on the website.
• Bounce Rate – the percentage of visits that viewed only one page.

% of Visits = Visits for the browser ÷ Total visits

Actions per Visit = Actions ÷ Visits

4 Browser Version

Select Browser Version to view visitor activity grouped by the detected version of each browser.

The chart and table display the same visitor metrics as the Browser view.

5 Browser Engine

Select Browser Engine to view visitor activity grouped by browser engine.

The chart and table display the same visitor metrics as the Browser view.

6 OS

Select OS to view visitor activity grouped by operating system.

The chart and table display the same visitor metrics as the Browser view.

7 OS Version

Select OS Version to view visitor activity grouped by operating system version.

The chart and table display the same visitor metrics as the Browser view.
