This article shows you how to edit your keyword list. The edit tool lets you:
- add new words to the list
- remove words from the list
- attach individual keywords to a custom group
1 Locating keyword list edit tools
- Open the Keywords data page and then customise the time period and search engine settings.
- Scroll up to the top of the Keywords page. The keyword list editing tools are below the three data summary boxes.
2 Adding a keyword to the list
You can track up 500 keywords in your list.
- Click the Add button. The Add Keyword panel displays.
- Type one or more keywords (Chinese script) inside the text box.
- To type English words and then use the Chinese translator tool, click OPEN TRANSLATION TOOL.
- Type an English word in the English box and then click TRANSLATE. The Chinese translation appears in the next box.
- Click ADD. The translation tool closes.
- Click DONE to insert the Chinese word into your keyword list. The Edit panel closes and the keyword lists displays.
- Repeat to add another keyword.
3 Removing a keyword from the list
You can remove keywords from the tracking list. Deleted keywords can be re-added without losing historical data.
- Check the box beside the keyword you want to delete. The Remove button changes from grey to red.
- Click Remove.
- Click Yes in the Confirmation box. The keyword is no longer in the list.
4 Applying a keyword to a group
You can attach a keyword to a custom group.
- Check the box beside the keyword you want to update.
- Click the Apply Keyword Group box. A drop-down menu displays.
- Select a custom keyword group from the menu.
- The box closes and the keyword lists displays.
- The group name for that keyword is changed.
5 Removing a keyword to a group
You can remove a keyword from a custom group.
- Check the box beside the keyword you want to update.
- Click the Apply Keyword Group box. A drop-down menu displays.
- Select a None in the menu.
- The box closes and the keyword lists displays.
- The group name for that keyword is changed to None.
