Does the Sinorbis platform store my personal data?
No, it doesn't. The Sinorbis platform does not collect or store personal data. The platform does not have credit or debit card numbers, personal financial information, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers, employment or health information.
What about passwords and data like that?
All sensitive data inside Sinorbis applications (e.g. API calls, login, passwords, authenticated sessions, etc.) are encrypted in-transit with TLS and 256-bit keys or better. Customers who host their websites on Sinorbis can configure these sites to also use TLS.
Are online credit card payments secure?
Yes, they are. We use trusted and PCI-compliant payment vendors to ensure that customers’ credit card information is processed securely and according to appropriate regulation.
Where is my website data stored?
Sinorbis uses AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform to store platform data and functions. These companies have data centers in Sydney, Hong Kong, Beijing and various locations in the US.
Are cloud services secure?
Yes, they are. We use world-class cloud infrastructure companies. They have the most advanced facilities for power, networking, and security. Access to these providers’ sites is highly restricted. That includes physical access to the buildings and electronic access through public (internet) and private (intranet) networks. This level of security eliminates unwanted service interruptions to our customers.
The physical, environmental, and infrastructure security protections, including continuity and recovery plans, have been independently validated as part of their SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.
What is the uptime rate for these cloud companies?
Facilities uptime is guaranteed to be between 99.95% and 100%.
Do you backup my site?
Yes, we do. We have a digital copy of your site and databases.
Customer production data (e.g. website images, site design, etc.) is backed up every day. Customer databases are stored for seven days. That means you can quickly restore your site if something happens.
Do you use a firewall?
Yes, we do. Sinorbis uses the industry-recognised Web Application Firewall (WAF). This firewall helps to block attacks aimed at Sinorbis products. We follow best-practice guidelines to detect and block malicious traffic. Protections from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are also incorporated, helping to ensure customer sites and other parts of the Sinorbis products are available continuously.
What else are you doing to protect data?
Sinorbis uses monitoring, alerting, and response technologies to proactively address potential issues. Teams are alerted when anomalies occur due to increased error rates, or application attacks. This enables the relevant teams to respond in a timely manner to investigate and correct any issues.
We are also committed to continuous improvement. Code changes are released at regular intervals.
Do you send out incident reports?
Yes, we do. If there is a data or privacy incident, we first determine the exposure of the information and the source of the security problem, if possible. We communicate with the customer via email or phone. We also provide periodic updates as needed to ensure appropriate resolution of the incident.
